One of the most beloved British TV series is now a glorious movie and the Downton Abbey cast and fans couldn’t be happier!

The continuing saga of the Crawley family and the servants who work for them in the English countryside in the early 20th century can now be seen on the big screen and take it from this fan, it i s an absolute treat!

While the show aired for six seasons it clearly left an impact on fans around the world. Focusing on the upstairs life of the aristocratic Crawley family and their downstairs servants - fans could not get enough of the weekly drama. The fans were so upset when the show ended creator and writer Julien Fellows began writing an update that soon turned into a script for a big screen film.

The film is set in 1927, more than a year after the events of the series finale, and centers around the family and staff preparing for a royal visit from King George V and Queen Mary

Being a self proclaimed Downton Abbey  fangirl, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to chat with two of the Downton-Downstairs ladies, Phyllis Logan who plays housekeeper Mrs. Hughes and Lesley Nicol who plays Mrs. Patmore the cook.
