Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart team up in the new comedy, Get Hard which turns into an unintentional hardcore bromance. This is the first time the two funnymen appear on the big screen together and despite their noticeable height difference, comedically they are on a level playing field.
Get Hard stars Ferrell as James King, a clueless millionaire bound for San Quentin, and Hart as Darnell Lewis, the only black person James knows. Believing Darnell has served time in prison James turns to him for advice on how to survive. Darnell, who has never been to prison, agrees and puts James through a rigorous and ridiculous program that probably won’t properly prepare James for the rough times ahead. Along the way the film teaches audiences a thing or two about stereotyping. The movie also stars the lovely and talented Alison Brie ( Mad Men, Community) as Ferrell's gold digging fiance.
I spoke with the comedic duo and Alison Brie in Los Angeles about working on the film, keeping a straight face and how this film has prepared them and will help audiences be prison ready. Please click the link below for the interviews.
