One of the most critically acclaimed shows of 2017 deals with the controversial and morally grey world of assisted death.
Mary Kills People starring Caroline Dhavernas is back with a compelling and provocative season two and joining the cast is the lovely and talented Rachelle Lefevre who brings some mystery to the show. ( The two actress met seven years ago when they worked on the TV series, Off the Map)
One of Variety’s top shows of 2017, the series centres around an ER doctor who serves as an angel of death helping people die with dignity. The new season picks up eight months after Mary (Caroline Dhavernas) and Des (Richard Short) framed Grady (Greg Bryk) for the deaths of their patients. As they dive deeper and darker into their illegal work, a mysterious woman, Olivia Bloom (Lefevre), comes to them with a deadly request, unleashing a chain of events that unfolds throughout the season.
The Montreal born, L.A. based Rachelle Lefevre is known for her role as the vampire Victoria Sutherland in the first two films of the Twilight saga. She also starred in the ABC drama Off the Map, followed by the CBS series A Gifted Man and Under the Dome.
I spoke with her via satellite from Los Angeles where we discussed her role on the show, how she personally connected to the material, being a new mom and her new animated movie, Nelly and Simon:Mission Yeti.
