You might not recognize her face - but you have definitely heard her voice!!!
Toronto’s own Tara Strong, the Iconic Voice of “Twilight Sparkle” and many other famous animated characters is saying goodbye to My Little Pony, for now, anyway.
After 200+ Episodes and nearly a decade of magical adventures, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is in it’s Final Season. Launched in 2010, Discovery Family’s popular series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic follows the magical Princess Twilight Sparkle and her colorful pony friends in the land of Equestria. Together they teach one another valuable lessons, including the power of friendship. Now, after nearly a decade and more than two hundred episodes, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will begin its final season and will feature the return of popular characters voiced by Patton Oswalt and “Weird” Al Yankovic.
Leading up to the season premiere, Discovery Family celebrates all things My Little Pony with a week-long Pony Palooza celebration starting Saturday, March 30, including a marathon of Equestria Girls, the world premiere of Equestria Girls: Spring Breakdown, and a marathon of the most magical episodes from the past eight seasons of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
One of the best-known voice actresses working today, Tara Strong is Emmy-nominated® for her role as “Twilight Sparkle.” Tara also provides the voices behind many of the most popular animated characters on television. She’s “Bubbles” from The Power Puff Girls, “Timmy Turner” in The Fairly Odd Parents, “Dill Pickles” in Rugrats, “Raven” in Teen Titans, and “Melody” in The Little Mermaid 2. She’s also the voice of “Batgirl” and “Harley Quinn” on DC Super Hero Girls, and “Rocky J. Squirrel” on The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle.
I spoke with Tara Strong ( still a Toronto gal at heart) via satellite from Los Angeles about how much My Little Pony has meant to her both personally and professionally plus lot’s more!! Check out our interview below.
