Toy Story 4 - Tony Hale Interview

It’s been nine long years since the last Toy Story movie from Pixar but now the wait is finally over.

Toy Story 4 picks up a few years after Andy gave his toys to Bonnie. Woody, Buzz and the rest of the toys are faced with a problem when Bonnie creates a new toy from arts and crafts, she gets out of the trash named Forky. Forky is having some identity issues and just can’t accept the fact that he is a toy, so the others try to help him understand how to be one.

As Bonnie and her family go on a road trip, Forky escapes and Woody goes to save him, becoming separated from the group near a small town. As Buzz and the others try to help find Woody, Woody finds Bo Peep among other toys in the town's antique shop, and she gives him a new outlook on what being a toy is really about.

Forky is voiced by actor Tony Hale who most of you will recognize from shows like the Fox comedy series Arrested Development as the neurotic Buster Bluth. Hale also played Gary Walsh on the HBO comedy Veep from 2012 until its conclusion in 2019, for which he won the 2013 and 2015 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

I never had my own Forky, but i did get the opportunity to chat with Tony Hale about being a part of this Disney legacy.
