VALLEYOF THE BOOM - STEVE ZAHN & LAMORNE MORRIS INTERVIEW

(L. to r.) John Karna stars as Netscape’s visionary founder, Marc Andreessen; Bradley Whitford as Netscape’s iconic CEO, Jim Barksdale; and Steve Zahn as Pixelon founder 'Michael Fenne,' aka conman David Kim Stanley.

Steve Zahn & Lamorne Morris may be known for many popular roles on television and film, but now the actors have joined forces starring in a new series called Valley of the Boom  set in Silicon Valley during the dot-com boom.

Valley of the Boom  Premieres on Sunday, January 13th 9pm ET/PT on National Geographic .

Silicon Valley spawned some of the world’s most influential people and recognizable brands during the 1990s and attracted geniuses and charlatans alike. It’s also where the new phenomenon of the overnight tech millionaire was born.

The new six-part limited series VALLEY OF THE BOOM features an unconventional hybrid of scripted storytelling and documentary interviews with the key players whose stories are dramatized in the show. The ensemble cast is led by Bradley Whitford, Steve Zahn and Lamorne Morris and is executive produced Matthew Carnahan (“House of Lies”) and Arianna Huffington.

Steve Zahn has appeared in such films as That Thing You Do!, Out of Sight, Saving Silverman, War for the Planet of the Apes, Captain Fantastic, Dallas Buyers Club, Blaze, Where’d You Go Bernadette? and Lean on Pete. Zahn’s starring role in Werner Herzog’s Rescue Dawn, opposite Christian Bale, garnered him in an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Zahn was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for Dallas Buyers Club. TV credits include The Crossing, Mind Games, Modern Family and four seasons of the hit HBO series Treme, among many others.

Lamorne Morris starred opposite Zooey Deschanel in Fox’s popular comedy New Girl for seven seasons. On the big screen, Morris was most recently seen opposite Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams in the Warner Bros. hit comedy Game Night. He has also appeared in Comedy Central’s Kroll Show and Drunk History Across America, as well as ABC’s The Middle. He is also known for his time as host of Cartoon Network’s game show Brainrush.

I spoke with Steve Zahn and Lamorne Morris via satellite from New York about the show and what they hate about the internet. The interview was pretty hilarious!! You can check it out below.
