Mahershala Ali talks Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 AND House of Cards

Mahershala Ali may not be a house hold name but he's definitely working on it. The seasoned actor nabbed a prime role opposite Jennifer Lawrence in, The Hunger Games Mockingjay parts 1 and 2 and you can currently see him opposite Kevin Spacey in the Netflix mega hit series, House of Cards as Remy Danton.  

In The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 Ali plays Colonel Boggs, who is commissioned to protect Katniss in and outside of District 13. He is the right hand man of President Kron, who is played by Julianne Moore. The film picks up after destroying the games forever, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) fights for the rebellion, determined to rescue Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) from the clutches of President Snow (Donald Sutherland).  As Katniss becomes the symbol of the rebellion, President Alma Coin (Julianne Moore) realizes that her safety is of the utmost importance and assigns Colonel Boggs to be her escort and protector. 

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I” opens in theaters on Thursday, Nov. 20th.
