Kristin Lehman talks "Altered Carbon"

Kristin Lehman in, Altered Carbon

Known for tackling some pretty interesting and challenging roles, Canada's own Kristin Lehman returns to series work in the much anticipated Netflix Sci-fi series, Altered Carbon

Based on the classic cyberpunk noir novel by Richard K Morgan, Altered Carbon is an intriguing story of murder, love, sex, and betrayal, set 300 years in the future. Society has been transformed by new technology: consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent. Takeshi Kovacs is the lone surviving soldier in a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned – on ice – for centuries until Laurens Bancroft, an impossibly wealthy, long-lived man, offers Kovacs the chance to live again. In exchange, Kovacs has to solve a murder…that of Bancroft himself.

Lehman has starred in Poltergeist: The Legacy to The Killing and Motive,  she has  been a  staple on North American television. Altered Carbon is getting a lot of buzz and has been drawing comparisons to other sci-fi spectacles such as Blade RunnerThe Matrix and Black Mirror.  The series also stars James Purefoy and Lehman's former "The Killing" co-star Joel Kinnaman,

I spoke with Kristin about working on Altered Carbon, what intrigued her about the storyline, reuniting with Joel Kinnaman and much more.
