1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land – Montana.

1883 first premiered in December 2021 exclusively on Paramount+, where all episodes of the limited series are available to stream. 

LaMonica Garrett stars in "1883" as Thomas, a cowboy who is a former enslaved person and an American Civil War Vet – serving as a Buffalo Soldier in the war. Thomas is now a Pinkerton Agent and has joined the journey to Montana as the right-hand man to fellow cowboy and war vet, Shea Brennan (Sam Elliott) who is leading the group on their travels.

Eric Nelsen stars as Ennis in “1883.” He is a young, handsome cowboy who agrees to help escort a group of inexperienced men, women and children north to find a home.
