ANATOMY OF A SCANDAL - INTERVIEWS WITH THE CAST

Who doesn't love a good courtroom drama? The latest, Anatomy of A Scandal is a new series on Netflix that will have you guessing until the very end.

Based on Sarah Vaughan's bestselling novel of the same name, the book wasn't inspired by any specific a true story, but rather Vaughan's experience covering British sex scandals as a courtroom reporter.

The story begins with Parliamentary minister James Whitehouse, a seemingly happily married man with a loving family home. Whitehouse, played by Rupert Friend comes from a very privileged background and seems to have the world at his fingertips, that is until a scandalous secret comes to light that not only brings upheaval to his marriage and family life but also his prestigious career.

His wife Sophie Whitehouse (Sienna Miller), learns that her husband has been having an affair with an aide. The news goes public, blowing up their lives and forcing her to deal with the consequences of her husband's disastrous decisions. Things go from bad to worse when James is accused of rape and has to stand trial.

The six part series also stars Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery as the prosecuting lawyer for Olivia (Naomi Scott) the young aide who has charged Whitehouse with rape.

Sienna Miller who went through her own public scandal many years ago when her partner/actor Jude Law had an affair with their nanny was immediately drawn to the material. While it has been many years since, Miller says she the topic too close to home and playing the role of Sophie was somewhat cathartic.

I spoke with Sienna Miller, Rupert Friend, Michelle Dockery and Naomi Scott about working on the compelling mini series. The interviews can be watched in the playlist below.
