BLOCKBUSTER - RANDALL PARK and MELISSA FUMERO GIVES US THE SCOOP

Remember video stores? Do you miss them? Well - the new comedy series, Blockbuster will fill that void!

Created by Vanessa Ramos (Superstore, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Blockbuster centers on the ragtag group of dreamers who work at the last Blockbuster Video in America. Headlined by the charming duo of Randall Park and Melissa Fumero, the sitcom follows the beleaguered store’s battle to stay relevant as optimistic store manager Timmy (Park) desperately tries to prevent the store from closing. If you’re interested in the real-life story of the last remaining Blockbuster Video, the 2020 documentary aptly titled The Last Blockbuster is also streaming on Netflix.

Blockbuster has a strong supporting cast that includes, Tyler Alvarez as Carlos a young employee at Blockbuster, who is a huge movie fan but can often come across as annoying and a bit of a snob as result of his strong opinions and tendency to overshare.

Madeleine Arthur as Hannah, a Blockbuster employee who is your typical "girl next door" who is determined to keep the business running, much like manager Timmy who would hate to see their beloved store go under..

Olga Merediz as Connie the mother figure in the shop, who continues working there because of the people rather than needing money. For her, the job is more about the experience than the paycheck.

This role is played by Olga Merediz who has starred in popular shows such as Law and Order SVU, Orange Is the New Black and Shades of Blue. She also appeared in two episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine..

The first TEN episodes of Blockbuster are now streaming on Netflix.
