IN SEARCH OF... INTERVIEW WITH ZACHARY QUINTO
/Zachary Quinto is best known for his TV and movies roles in NOS4A2, 24, Heroes, American Horror Story: Asylum, Snowden and High Flying Bird, among many others. He’s also the host and E.P. of the popular series In Search Of, first made famous with Rod Sterling then Leonard Nimoy at the helm. In the rebooted franchise, Quinto takes viewers on new investigations of the world’s most iconic mysteries including UFO’s, the Loch Ness Monster and freaky Bermuda Triangle.
HISTORY’s hit unscripted series In Search Of kicks off its eight-episode second season, hosted by Emmy-nominated actor Zachary Quinto. Inspired by the iconic 1970s franchise of the same name, this investigative series travels the globe examining timeless mysteries using the latest in science and groundbreaking technology to reveal brand-new evidence.
From centuries-old legends to those based in historical and scientific evidence, each one-hour episode, headlined by Quinto, will take on a different iconic puzzle. Season two takes a close look at the legend of the Loch Ness monster, UFOs, the Bermuda Triangle, the lost colony of Roanoke, the Ark of the Covenant and the end of the world, to name a few. Viewers can expect to see, for the first time, DNA testing used in the mystery of the lost colony of Roanoke, advanced sonar and SCUBA canvassing for evidence of the Loch Ness Monster with some surprising results, a brand-new theory about the Bermuda Triangle and a new, never-before-seen crop circle discovery in Texas.
Additionally, this season Quinto takes viewers on a whirlwind journey across the U.S. and the globe including stops in Ethiopia, Sweden, Israel, Guatemala, Chile, Germany and Poland. The original “In Search Of” series aired from 1977-1982 and was hosted by Rod Serling and later by Leonard Nimoy following Serling’s death.
Pittsburgh native Zachary Quinto can currently be seen as Charlie Manx in the AMC series, NOS4A2. He appeared as Adam Kaufman on the third season of 24, and in the only season of the critically acclaimed series So NoTORIous. His numerous other roles include the psychopathic super-powered serial killer Sylar on the hit NBC series Heroes; Spock in the JJ Abrams directed reboot of the Star Trek franchise and both sequels to that film; and Dr. Oliver Thredson on American Horror Story: Asylum, for which he was nominated for an Emmy.
Most recently, Quinto co-starred in Steven Soderbergh’s High Flying Bird and in two episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt; Snowden, Who We Are Now, and Hotel Artemis opposite Jodie Foster.
Zachary also revived his Broadway role in The Boys in the Band along side Jim Parson and Matt Bomer for an upcoming Netflix film that will begin streaming in 2020,
