CATCHING UP WITH FUNNY MAN ELIOT GLAZER
/May is Jewish Heritage Month and Comedy Central has a fun way to celebrate. 2 Jews Choose is the new digital series which will have celebrity contestants joining comedian Eliot Glazer to decide if something is Jewish or Goyish. ( of course I aced it :)
In the Comedy Central digital series 2 JEWS CHOOSE, comedian Eliot Glazer invites some of his favorite Jewish celebrities to take part in a little game where they assess a series of pairs to decide which, between the two, is Jewish and which is goyish. Goyish technically refers to something that isn’t Jewish, but what it really means is… “it’s not for the Jews.” Like Billy on the Street, it’s a game that’s totally subjective but treated like fact. In celebration of Jewish American Heritage Month in May, we’ll roll out 5 star-studded episodes of 2 JEWS CHOOSE.
Eliot Glazer is a comedian, actor, musician, and writer best known for his work both on screen and behind the scenes of Broad City. He currently serves as Co-Executive Producer on iCarly (Paramount+) and has written on, among others, New Girl, The Boys: Diabolical, and Younger. He is the author of the anthology My Parents Were Awesome and co-host of the podcast You’re Making It Worse. He also hosts the live comedy concert Musique Iconique and the Comedy Central Digital series 2 Jews Choose. He can be heard as a frequent guest on The Howard Stern Wrap Up Show, and seen in a supporting role opposite Seth Rogen in HBO Max’s An American Pickle. Additionally, Eliot created, developed and starred opposite Colton Haynes (Teen Wolf, Arrow) in the AMC Studio original half-hour comedy I Run Hot for Peacock.
I spoke with Eliot about the series, played a few rounds ( which I aced) and spoke about what it was like growing up in the Glazer household.
