Devs - Nick Offerman Interview
/Known mainly for his comedic roles Nick Offerman tackles a pretty serious issue in the new series, Devs.
Devs, the highly-anticipated limited series from visionary filmmaker Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation), is the very first title to premiere exclusively on FX on Hulu. In it, a young software engineer named Lily Chan investigates the secretive development division of Amaya, a cutting-edge tech company based in Silicon Valley, which she believes is behind the disappearance of her boyfriend.
Sonoya Mizuno appears in her first leading role as “Lily.” The actress was first introduced to American audiences as “Kyoko” opposite Alicia Vikander and Oscar Isaac in Ex Machina, Alex Garland’s critically acclaimed directorial debut. Since then she has gone on to co-star in films such as La La Land, All About Nina and Alex Garland’s Annihilation. She most recently starred in Netflix’sManiac opposite Jonah Hill and Emma Stone, plus the 2018 breakout hit film Crazy Rich Asians.
Actor, writer and woodworker Nick Offerman stars as “Forest,” the enigmatic CEO of Amaya. Most recognizable for his role as “Ron Swanson” on NBC’s hit Parks & Recreation, Offerman’s film credits include Hearts Beat Loud, The Founder, Bad Times at the El Royale, Lucy in the Sky, The Hero, The LEGO Movie (1 & 2), White Fang and The Little Hours. He has penned four New York Times bestselling books including The Greatest Love Story Ever Told, co-written with his wife, Megan Mullally. In his spare time Offerman can be found at his woodshop in Los Angeles building hand-crafted items ranging from fine furniture to canoes to ukuleles.
