Netflix’s new reality show “Drink Masters,” gathers together some of the best mixologists who concoct the most creative, innovative and tasty drinks to prove they are the best in the world.
To make a genuinely fantastic and memorable cocktail, a very competent mixologist must experiment with flavors, balance spirits, and determine how a drink should be served and this new series might just teach you a thing or two.
The ten episode series debuts on October 28th and promises viewers a wide variety of techniques, stylistic chives, and eventually new cocktails that are developed at the hands of highly-skilled experts.
Contestants have the opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of judges Frankie Solarik and Julie Reiner, who will rate the cocktails based on flavor and presentation. The competition is hosted by comedian Tone Bell.
The Canadian series was shot in Hamilton, Ontario where host Tone Bell gathered with some pretty talented mixologists who showcase their expertise while competing for the coveted title of best mixologist. The mixologists infuse and blend their liquid craft to create new interpretations of classic drinks, is slated to rock the bar and beverages industries.
The Ultimate Drink Master pits the 12 candidates from throughout North America against the clock to complete challenges. Every episode, one contestant goes home.
I caught up with host Tone Bell and two featured mixologists, Kate Gerwin and Lauren Paylor.
