GET OUT - A Milestone for Jordan Peele
/Huge kudos to funnyman and first time director Jordan Peele!
Hollywood's latest success story, Get Out, has entered the history books! Director Jordan Peele has become the first black writer-director to earn more than $100 million at the box office with a debut feature.
The racially-charged horror film, which has been receiving unanimous acclaim from critics and cinemagoers alike, has undoubtedly captured the zeitgeist seeing its modest budget of $4.5 million reach nine figures after just three weeks, The Wrap reports.
Get Out stars Daniel Kaluuya (Black Mirror) as a photographer who visits his caucasian girlfriend's (Allison Williams of Girls) mysterious estate. Once there, things begin to spiral downwards pretty fast!
Peele is the co-creator of sketch show Key & Peele which he stars in alongside Keegan Michael-Key.
Get Out is currently playing in theatres across North America. If you haven't seen it - then GET OUT and GO!!
