Frank Capra’s classic masterpiece It’s a Wonderful Life has been fully restored just in time for the holidays. Jimmy Hawkins and Karolyn Grimes starred as Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed’s children, Tommy and Zuzu Bailey and they are thrilled to be chatting up the release and relive their memories from working on the film.

Return to Bedford Falls to experience the life-affirming message of director Frank Capra’s enduringly popular classic all over again. Paramount spent over a year painstakingly restoring this treasured film using the original negative and the very latest technology. The result is a more vibrant and detail-rich picture, which is being released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for the first time ever and brings this classic to life like never before.

As a child actor, Jimmy Hawkins co-starred with such luminaries as Lana Turner and Spencer Tracy, as well as James Stewart and Donna Reed. Hawkins went on to produce films and later run a successful construction business, but It’s A Wonderful Life has always held a special place in his heart. He has written five books on the classic film and was close to Jimmy Stewart.

Karolyn Grimes won the hearts of millions in her role as Zuzu Bailey in the Capra classic. She also played ‘Debbie’ in the 1947 film The Bishop’s Wife. She has worked with film legends such as John Wayne, Cary Grant and Bing Crosby and has become the unofficial ambassador for It’s a Wonderful Life. Grimes is also a talented and published writer.
