MR BIGSTUFF - CATCHING UP WITH SERIES STARS DANNY DYER AND RYAN SAMPSON

Mr Bigstuff … who do you think you are? A very funny dark comedy series that will leave you wanting more!

Old friends Danny Dyer and Ryan Sampson join forces in the new dark comedy series, Mr Bigstuff. The series focuses on two estranged brothers; Glen a nervy perfectionist striving to live the suburban ideal and Lee an alpha male with a prescription drug addiction and biscuit tin full of his Dad's ashes. Glen and his fiancée share a perfect, perfectly mundane life together - that is until Lee (Dyer) enters the picture!

It is written by and co-stars Ryan Sampson, best known for acting roles in Brassic and Plebs. Sampson plays Glen, a quintessential beta male. He is three months away from marrying his cheery fiancee, Kirsty (Harriet Webb). Sure, Glen's got crippling erectile dysfunction and Kirsty has a secret shoplifting habit, but they're happy.

Glen is used to his dull uneventful life and despite his commitment to his job, he is struggling to get a long-overdue promotion at World of Carpets from his irascible boss, Ian (Adrian Scarborough).

The minute Lee comes crashing into their lives, who is on the run from a past that's quickly catching up with him chaos ensues. The trio are forced together: a perfectionist, a fantasist and an anarchist all living under the same roof in an Essex cul-de-sac. It's not long before their 'perfect' lives start to unravel faster than a cheap carpet.

I spoke to Ryan Sampson and Danny Dyer about working on this series, their amazing chemistry and how much fun they had bonding as on-screen brothers.

Mr Bigstuff premieres on SHOWCASE in Canada on September 12th at 9:30pm ET.
