With no better options, Tariq turns to the familiar drug game, entangling himself with a cutthroat family headed by Monet Stewart Tejada, that’s been at it far longer than him. As Tariq tries to balance his drug operation with his grades, love life, and family, he figures out that the only way to avoid the same fate his father met is to become him — only better.

Michael Rainey Jr. stars as ’Tariq St. Patrick.’ Acting since the age 9, Rainey made his first American film appearance in Luv. He went on to a prominent role in The Butler with Oprah Winfrey, and was featured in seasons 1-3 of Orange Is The New Black, before landing a starring role in the third installment of the comedy franchise Barbershop.

Naturi Naughton stars as ’Tasha St. Patrick.’ She is a two-time recipient of the 2017 and 2018 NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series” for her work on Power. Naturi is a singer and actress best known for her performances as 'Lil Kim' in the hit film Notorious and her role in the remake of the classic film Fame. Naughton’s many other credits include Lottery Ticket and appearances on Mad Men, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on television. She appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award winning musical Hairspray for three years. Before her transition into film and television, Naughton was a member of the Platinum selling pop trio 3LW.
