SNOWDAY - CATCHING UP WITH STARS JERRY TRAINR, KY BALDWIN and MICHAELA RUSSELL

A Beloved Classic Comedy is Reimagined as an All-New Movie Musical! Snow Day is ready to make your day!!

Snow Day follows a group of kids who are determined to achieve their dreams when their school closes for a snow day. Siblings Hal (Ky Baldwin, Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door) and Natalie Brandston (Michaela Russell, WandaVision) discover that anything is possible on a snow day when a surprise winter whiteout offers them the chance to break routines and take giant risks. Inspired to pursue his crush, Claire (Shelby Simmons, Bunk’d), Hal enlists the help of his best friend, Lane (Fabi Aguirre, Les Misérables on Broadway), to help him express his feelings, and Natalie decides she must challenge the town’s cranky snowplow man if she wants to pull off the task of creating a second snow day.

The original Snow Day, from Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures, premiered in theaters in 2000. It was a box office success and immediately became an instant favorite for kids everywhere, who also dreamed of having a snow day of their own. It starred Chris Elliott, Mark Webber, Jean Smart, Chevy Chase, Josh Peck and Emmanuelle Chriqui, among others.

Jerry Trainor stars as Snowplow Man, a lover of many things—his snowplow, his mom, blizzards, his mechanical bird Truddy, and acai smoothies. One thing he hates with all of his might is kids! Jerry Trainor is an actor, comedian and star of Nickelodeon’s iCarly series. Most recently he can be seen starring in the feature film Cover Versions, as well as a recurring star on CMT’s Still the King and Netflix’s No Good Nick, and as a guest star in CBS’s 2 Broke Girls

Ky Baldwin stars as Hal, a hopeless romantic pining for the girl of his dreams on one fateful snow day. Baldwin is a 21-year-old AACTA (Australia’s Academy Award) and TV Week Logie (Australia’s Emmy)-winning actor from Australia. Baldwin started on the stage with the Sydney Opera Company at age 7 in critically acclaimed Madame Butterfly. At age 10, he played the role of Gustave in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Australian tour of Love Never Dies sharing duets with both the Phantom and Christine. Later that year, he joined Andrew Upton and Cate Blanchett’s Sydney Theatre Company production of Under Milkwood. He then went on to perform in New Zealand as Michael Banks in Cameron McIntosh’s Mary Poppins and had the honor of performing Opening Night. Following his award-winning performance in Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door, Baldwin moved to Los Angeles and was cast as the first International Mouseketeer in Disney’s reboot of the Mickey Mouse Club. He has also been a finalist on Australia’s Got Talent for tap dancing and The Voice Kids. Baldwin writes and produces his own music, which has accumulated over 100 million views on YouTube and over 1 million music downloads. He is represented by Stone Talent Agency.

Michaela Russell stars as Natalie, Hal’s feisty and cunning little sister, who enlists the help of her friends to take on her arch nemesis, Snowplow Man. Russell can also be seen as ‘Young Wanda’ in Marvel’s hit show, WandaVision on Disney+. She has also starred in an episode of Amazing Stories on Apple TV+, created by Steven Spielberg and has starred in two Hallmark films, Two Turtle Doves (2019) and Love to the Rescue (2019).
