The Gloaming is a suspenseful new supernatural detective series starring Aussie actors Ewen Leslie (Top of the Lake, The Mule) and Emma Booth (Once Upon a Time.) which hits the small screen this weekend.

When a woman is found brutally killed, the clues surrounding her death connect to murders both past and present. Political corruption and shady business dealings are soon entwined with sinister crimes and occult practices. At the center of this web are two detectives who share a tragic past. In a harrowing journey to find the truth, their fate is coerced by the ghosts of the unsettled dead that linger in the liminal space between life and death - known as “The Gloaming.”

His first big break in film came as the lead in Jewboy. His numerous other film roles include Three Blind Mice, Dead Europe, Sleeping Beaty, The Mule, and The Nightingale. On television, his notable roles include Operation Buffalo, The Luminaries, Fighting Season, and Top of the Lake. Leslie also voices the character of Pigling Bland in the Peter Rabbit movies.
