THE KOMINSKY METHOD (S3) -PAUL REISER AND SARAH BAKER INTERVIEW
/The third and final Season of the hit TV series The Kominsky Method drops on Netflix on May 28th.
Created by TV comedy veteran Chuck Lorre, the critically-acclaimed series is finishing up with one last lesson from the titular acting teacher. The Netflix original series follows Michael Douglas as Sandy Kominsky, an aging former actor-turned-acting coach and his agent and friend Norman Newlander (Alan Arkin).
Arkin sadly did not return for the final season - but his presence is felt throughout the last 6 episodes.
The third season also starts the fabulous Kathleen Turner - cast as Michael Douglas’s ex wife and boy is it fun to see these two reunited after making films like Romancing the Stone and War of the Roses together.
Their daughter Mindy is played by Sarah Baker who is engaged to an older man of sorts - hilariously played by an unrecognizable Paul Reiser.
News about The Kominsky Method continuing after season two was up in the air for some time after the latest batch of episodes dropped in October 2019. However, Netflix announced on July 2, 2020 that the series would be returning for a third and final season in the future.
“The Kominsky Method has been a true passion project for me,” creator Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory) said about the renewal news, “and it’s been an incredible experience to see the warm response from both audiences and critics. I’m excited to wrap up the story with this final chapter.”
I spoke with stars Paul Reiser and Sarah Baker about working on the series and what fun they both had.
