THE MISERY INDEX, IMPRACTICAL JOKERS- SAL VULCANO & BRIAN "Q" QUINN INTERVIEW
/The outrageously entertaining comedy game show – The Misery Index – is back for season 2 featuring everyone’s favourite “Impractical Jokers” THE TENDERLOINS who serve as panelists on the show.
Hosted by Jameela Jamil and inspired by the card game Sh*t Happens, The Misery Index features teams competing against each other by attempting to rate hilarious and miserable real-life events based on the “misery index,” a ranking system created by a team of psychologists. This season will feature special themed episodes including dueling grandmothers, a visit from one of The Tenderloins’ family members, and a showdown between motherlands.
Also just announced, the guys have found a way to give their fans a show during their current lockdown due to the Corona Virus. truTV is continuing to build on the hugely popular franchise Impractical Jokers with a greenlight of Impractical Jokers: Dinner Party. The six-episode half-hour series is set to premiere on Thursday, May 21 at 10:00p.m. ET/PT. Starring Joe Gatto, James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, and Sal Vulcano, collectively known as the comedy troupe The Tenderloins, the show virtually reunites the long-time friends, forced apart for the first time in over 25 years, as they sit down to break bread from their respective homes. Fans will see the guys like never before, by drawing back the curtain for an up close and personal glimpse at their lives while they practice social distancing.
The Tenderloins is a New York-based comedy troupe, whose four members – Joe Gatto, James Murray, Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano – are the Creators, Executive Producers, and Stars of truTV’s hit series, Impractical Jokers. Now in its ninth season, Impractical Jokers follows The Tenderloins as they compete to embarrass each other while being filmed by hidden cameras, all the while showcasing their longstanding camaraderie. In addition to TV success, The Troupe has toured steadily over the last six years with its wildly popular live show, performing for over one million fans in the US and UK, including six sold-out nights at Radio City Music Hall, a sold-out Madison Square Garden, and six sold-out shows at London’s O2 Arena.
I had the chance to chat with two of the Tenderloins, Sal and Q about their new shows and how they are coping in isolation.
