The Choice: Teresa Palmer and Benjamin Walker Interview
/Who doesn't love a good Nicholas Sparks romance? The best-selling author certainly has the market cornered when it comes to love especially given the fact that eleven of his best novels have been turned into films and he’s just about to start on the 12th!
His latest romance to make it to the big screen is The Choice, starring Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer) andTeresa Palmer (Warm Bodies).
Palmer plays Gabby, a feisty medical student who moves in next door to perennial ladies' man Travis Shaw. The two don’t exactly hit it off when they first meet but soon find themselves on a romantic journey neither ever dreamed possible.
Travis has always believed a serious relationship with a woman would cramp his easygoing lifestyle while Gabby is all set to settle down her long-term boyfriend Ryan (Tom Welling) until an irresistible attraction between the unlikely couple upends both of their well-planned lives.
After a whirlwind courtship, Gabby and Travis wed and build a family together, making every decision hand-in-hand until one of them is forced to make the most important choice of their life alone.
The Choice is a poignant and life-affirming celebration of love, marriage, and family that explores the most heart-wrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?
During our recent interview in Los Angeles, Teresa Palmer and Benjamin Walker discuss their chemistry, why Nicholas Sparks is a master at writing romantic novels and the secret of crying on cue.
The Choice is in theatres on February 5th. Bring a good supply of tissues.
