Canada’s own Amanda Brugel steps out of her comfort zone in the new horror film, Becky!

Award winning actress Amanda Brugel is keeping busy these days. Waiting patiently to get back on the set of both The Handmaid's Tale and Kim’s Convenince due to the COVID pandemic, Amanda's latest role is something very different than we are used to seeing from her.

Amanda stars in the new horror film, Becky opposite the likes of Kevin James, Joel McHale and Lulu Wilson. The film, centers around punky and rebellious Becky (Lulu) who tries to reconnect with her father during a weekend getaway at a lakefront house. The trip soon takes a turn for the worse when convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (James) , suddenly invade the home.

I spoke with Amanda Brugel about the film, The Handmaid's Tale and winning a Canadian Screen Award for her role on the hit TV series, Kim's Convenience.
