Casual - Interview with Michaela Watkins and Tommy Dewey

Now in it's THIRD season, CASUAL is show that is smart, funny and really getting recognized!

The Golden Globe®-nominated comedy series from Oscar®-nominated director Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air) airs on Hulu in the United States and Crave TV in Canada.

The critically acclaimed series centers on Valerie Cole, a divorced mom and sex therapist (Watkins) who rediscovers herself while living with her brother Alex (Dewey) and teenage daughter Laura. The surprising consequences following her father’s death and Valerie’s decision to move out propel the trio to rebel, exploring different jobs, partners, and unfulfilled passions. As they adjust to a new normal, can they maintain boundaries or will they revert to the comfort of codependency?

Michaela Watkins recently wrapped production on the comedic film The House starring alongside Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler. Watkins can also be seen in all three seasons of Amazon’s Golden Globe®–winning show Transparent; opposite Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, and Paul Rudd in the Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer; and in HBO’s hit comedy Veep. Watkins joined the SNL cast in the middle of the 2008-09 season.

Tommy Dewey is best known for his role as Dr. Mike Leighton in CBS’s medical drama Code Black and is a co-creator, executive producer, and star of Verizon/go90’s Now We’re Talking. Tommy’s previous series regular roles were on the CW’s The Mountain and ABC Family’s comedy Roommates. Tommy recurred on The Mindy Project as Mindy’s love interest Josh Daniels and guest-starred on Mad Men, Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and C.S.I.: Miami. His film roles include 17 Again, Step Up: Revolution, The Babymakers, I’m Reed Fish, and The Escort.
