LITTLE VOICE - BRITTANY O'GRADY INTERVIEW

Brittany O’Grady can certainly relate to Bess, the aspiring singer-songwriter she plays in “Little Voice,” Sara Bareilles’ semi-autobiographical Apple TV Plus series.

A fresh, romantic series  from the award-winning team of J.J. Abrams, Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson, "Little Voice" is a love letter to the diverse musicality of New York starring Brittany O'Grady.

The series follows Bess King, (O'Grady) a uniquely talented performer struggling to fulfill her dreams while navigating rejection, love, and complicated family issues. Featuring original music by Grammy and Tony Award nominee, Sara Bareilles, this is a story about finding your authentic voice—and the courage to use it.

Whereas Bess works as a dog walker and a bartender to make ends meet, O'Grady was a host at Figaro Bistrot in Hollywood when she was 17. She was fired after two months because she went home back East for the holidays to look at colleges.

Now 24, O’Grady is a stand out in the new series Little Voice and her other credits include a role in the short lived series, Star and in the film, Black Christmas.

I spoke with Brittany O”Grady about her star-making turn in this charming little series.

Little Voice is currently streaming on Apple TV+
