MY UNORTHODOX LIFE - MEET ROBERT BROTHERTON (INTERVIEW)

The new Netflix series, My Unorthodox Life is not only one of the most watched shows on the streaming service but it is creating a lot of buzz around the world.

In My Unorthodox Life we follow and really get to know Julia Haart, a fascinating woman who felt trapped in the Orthodox Jewish community and now thrives in the secular world of fashion, and feels liberated to express herself and her sexuality.

Whether you agree with her philosophies or not, you cannot deny that what Julia has accomplished in seven short years is extraordinary. Her hard work ethic and the respect that she gets from everyone around is evident as we follow her journey in the series and we get up close and personal with her four children, who are all dealing with issues of their own.

We also meet the extended family of which, Robert Brotherton, the company’s flamboyant COO, who is an integral part of the series.

He is Julia’s confidante and best friend. The interactions between the two of them are also one of the best things about the series.

Robert was all in when told that the series would be shooting and leaves nothing to our imagination. He is kind hearted and sensitive and will clearly do anything for Julia but he also opens up to the cameras and gives us insight into his own personal life.

I had the chance to speak with Robert Brotherton about working with Julia, shooting the series and if he would be open to another season.
