PAWN STARS - RICK HARRISON INTERVIEW

The hit series Pawn Stars recently kicked off it’s 17th Season and with Rick Harrison at the helm you can be assured we are in for yet another fascinating look at some pretty cool treasures!

The 54-year-old is the star of History Channel’s “Pawn Stars,” which takes viewers inside the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop on the outskirts of Las Vegas where he runs the family business. Harrison and his crew carefully assess the value of historical treasures brought in by everyday Americans and ultimately determine whether it’s the real deal or a total bust.

Pawn Stars has been taking viewers inside the colorful world of the pawn business since the early 2000’s! The hit show returns to HISTORY with all new episodes in January.

Rick will also partake ( along with this son Corey) in this spring’s HISTORYCon. Taking place April 3-5 at the Pasadena, CA, convention center, the conference will feature exclusive panels and Q&A’s with the stars of your favorite HISTORY shows, including Pawn Stars, American Pickers, Ancient Aliens and more! You can indulge your love of history at this fun-filled, three day event. You can find out more or purchase tickets at www.historycon.com

It's clear that the Gold and Silver Pawn shop in Las Vegas, Nevada, is no ordinary pawn shop as Pawn Stars Rick Harrison, Corey Harrison and Chumlee Russell wheel and deal items ranging from iconic movie props to historical weapons. If these items are as real as their owner's say they are, they can be worth a lot.

The new season of Pawn Stars will introduce exciting and unique new items to the shop that cannot be passed up. With some key appraisers and visitors separating and verifying the real from the fake, what deals are in store?

Rick Harrison has been in the family business for 28 years and is an expert in spotting anything fake or stolen. That knock off Cartier watch? Not going to get by Rick. Born a hustler, Rick dropped out of high school to pursue his $2K-a-week business of selling fake Gucci bags. With enough money at the age of 23 to partner with his father, he never looked back.

I had the opportunity to chat with Rick Harrison via satellite about Pawn Stars, his upcoming appearance at HistoryCon and the best advice he got from his father, fondly remembered as The Old Man.

All New Episodes of Pawn Stars Air Mondays @ 10PM (ET/PT) on HISTORY
