SNOWFALL SEASON 5 - DAMSON IDRIS and ANGELA LEWIS INTERVIEW

Get ready and get set for another explosive season of the hit series, Snowfall.

Snowfall was one of the last projects co-created, directed and executive produced by the late John Singleton. The acclaimed series is now heading into season five. Headed by Damson Idris, the show that takes a hard look at the serious crack epidemic of the 1980’s.

It's the summer of 1986 in the fifth season of Snowfall. Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) and his entire family are rich beyond their wildest dreams, on the verge of having everything they've ever wanted…right as the ground begins to fall out from under their feet.

The sudden and tragic death of basketball star Len Bias makes the rock cocaine epidemic front-page news, the target of both Democrat and Republican lawmakers. Law enforcement is on a warpath and the militarization of the L.A.P.D. continues as police and politicians decide the only way to deal with this growing scourge is through force — and the creation of the new C.R.A.S.H. (Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums) units. The streets of South Central Los Angeles have never been so dangerous as the Saint family navigates the police, the warring gangs and the CIA.

Amidst all of this, the biggest threat the family faces are each other as they try not to let greed, resentment and ego tear them all apart.

Damson Idris currently stars as lead role “Franklin Saint” in FX’s hit crime series Snowfall, created by the late John Singleton. Snowfall, now in its fifth season, chronicles the infamous rise of a small-time drug dealer as he builds a drug empire during the 1980s crack epidemic. Idris received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Drama series in Snowfall and serves as producer this forthcoming season. Idris’ most recent notable film credit was starring alongside Anthony Mackie in Netflix’s sci-fi action film, Outside the Wire (2021). He has also guest starred in Charlie Brooker’s BAFTA award-winning series Black Mirror (2019) and Jordon Peele’s reboot of The Twilight Zone (2019).
